With only a chisel and matchbook, MacGyver and team must defend themselves the U.S. embassy workers in Latvia from extremists who are attempting to retrieve their leader. Also, Bozer faces a big decision now that he knows who Mac really is.
Mac and the team head to Latvia, Europe to capture Janis Lapa, the leader of a terrorist organization. However, Janis sends an S.O.S out to the other members, who chase Mac, Janis, and the team to Latvia's U.S. Embassy. The team must protect the embassy from the terrorists for six hours. Meanwhile, Bozer, still upset at MacGyver, is held at the Phoenix Foundation to be assessed by Thornton. After learning about Bozer's prosthetic-making abilities, Thornton allows Mac to give Bozer a job at The Phoenix Foundation, which Bozer accepts.
Riley Davis: In prison, we call that a nark. Someone who's cooperated with Five-O. This is a reference to the show Hawaii Five-O.
Jack Dalton: No, no, wait. Hold on, don't tell me. Let me guess what it is this time. Uh... Chinese separatists, city of Madrid, with the candlestick.
Patricia Thornton: I thought we agreed not to use any Clue references during our briefings.
Jack Dalton: I would never agree to something like that. Milton Bradley was an American hero.
Jack Dalton: Well, just have him keep trying to kill you and I'll follow the sound of the shots.
Angus MacGyver: Okay, I'll try not to die before you get here.
Riley Davis: IIn prison, we call that a narc. Someone who's cooperated with five-O.
Angus MacGyver: You made a will?
Jack Dalton: Yeah. Will.
Angus MacGyver: But all you own are two cars and the complete works of Bruce Willis on DVD.
Jack Dalton: You're missing the point. I've made conscious choice to put my life on the line for my country. And so have you. But these people, they didn't sign up for this.
Angus MacGyver: Jack's right. They didn't sign up for this. This was all my doing. My choices brought us here. Just like my choices brought an assassin to my home. Bozer's home. It's not a great feeling, knowing your decisions have endangered people on both sides of the globe. I don't know how to stop a government agency from ruining Bozer's life. But I think I've just figured out how to stop the men outside from ending the lives of everyone in this embassy.
